June! My most favorite month. June represents so many great things in my life. This month I get to celebrate my husband on both his birthday and Father's Day. It's the kickoff of summer, my birthday, and the start of summer Friday's at work. The temps here in Florida do begin to rise into the high 90's but with a pool or beach close by, that's not a problem.

Five years ago I woke up to an unsure feeling. What was going on? Is this what Braxton Hicks feel like? I continued on to work, asking friends what labor felt like. I called a nurse who assured me it was likely Braxton Hicks. The pain continued throughout the day and eight hours later, I was in full on later, praying this precious, little peanut was coming soon.

Room Sharing to Solve It All?

We have had a routine over the last few weeks that has looked a little like this. I lay with Henley in her bed until she falls asleep. I hear blood curdling screams for β€œMaaamaaaa” around midnight, go to her room and bring her back in our bed until morning. Around 6am Macie joins the crew and we are all snuggled into bed until around 7am. One night of this wouldn’t be bad, a few periodic nights of this is manageable. Every night like this is not okay.

Never Ending Sleep Battles

Henley is four and a half, almost exactly, and had her first real nightmare last week. I woke up to her crying hysterical in her bed. She was speaking nonsense and I was extremely tired so I scooped her up and brought her into our bed, it was probably close to 2am. She quickly settled into our bed, practically laying underneath my husband as usual, falling asleep right away.
