I have to admit, I used to despise "all things pumpkin". I don't drink coffee and I hate pumpkin pie. When August would roll around and all of the 'PSL coming soon' mayhem would start, I just rolled my eyes, politely turning down any requests to try pumpkin flavored x, y, or z.

Friday the 13th is superstitious in many cultures and the fear of Friday the 13th has even been given the name triskaidekaphobia. I don't have this fear but I do usually double-take when someone mentions the date, almost like I evaluate if it's a good idea to do said thing on this date.

We have had the opportunity to spend tons of extra time with the girls, we squeezed in four extra, unplanned trips to Disney. I got to see John Mayer...again and we had many days of fun pool and beach time.
Read MoreWe are home safe from our unexpected vacation, or hurrication as most people on social media have coined it. We left Destin, Florida yesterday morning at 9am and arrived home around 11pm last night. It was a long, slow ride but luckily we didn't encounter any crazy gas lines or terrible drivers.
